The development of Sturm Blechverarbeitung is closely linked to the family history of the company Sturm from Hankofen, which operated a forge in the Lower Bavarian village already about 300 years ago.
The head of the family, Willhelm Sturm Sr., early on recognized that the times were changing and started manufacturing and assembling industrial components with three employees in 1980.
In 1991, the son of the company founder, Wilhelm Sturm jun., returned to his parents’ business after completing his studies as a mechanical and welding engineer and gaining initial experience as a plant manager. He built up the company from 15 employees at that time to the now internationally operating Sturm Group.
Within the Sturm Group, Sturm Blechverarbeitung developed into one of the most successful and exclusive business units of the Group.
1992 / 1993
Reinhold Schultes joins the company after completing his studies; he has been managing the sheet metal processing company very successfully and sustainably from the very first minute until today.
